Tuition Assistance Guidelines

Childswork Learning Center is fully committed to promoting a diverse school community, with inclusion as an essential element of our educational philosophy and school culture. All families should have access to affordable quality early childhood education for their children, regardless of socioeconomic status, national and ethnic origin, gender, color, race, sexual orientation, or religion.

In partnership with TADS (a financial aid assessment organization), Childswork provides tuition assistance to qualified families who would like to attend our school.

Option A: Financial Aid

  • Financial Aid is available to qualified families from all socioeconomic backgrounds who can cover the majority, but not all of tuition and fees. The maximum Financial Aid award per child is 50% of the yearly tuition fee or a maximum of $4000.00. Financial Aid is not available for Explorers (before and after school care), Enrichment classes, camps, or Kids' Night Out.
  • In addition, Financial Aid is available to families for temporary emergency aid to those who have experienced unexpected financial reversals in the course of a particular school year. For example, loss of employment or a serious illness. Childswork will consider special circumstances that are considered outside of the TADS report on a case-by-case basis.

Option B: Tuition Remission

  • The Childswork Board of Directors recognizes that socioeconomic diversity enriches the educational opportunities for all families and that the participation of a wide range of families is critical to the well-being of the school. We are committed to providing full Tuition Remission to those who could not otherwise attend. In support of this, Tuition Remission is available to cover all tuition, fees, and the Explorer program (before and after school care available daily from 7:30AM- 5:30PM).
  • 100% Full Tuition coverage is available to enable qualified families to attend Childswork.

TADS makes a recommendation to Childswork on the amount of Tuition Assistance per student based on the family’s calculated need and Childswork’s Tuition Assistance budget. Childswork works with TADS to create a final report of recommended award amounts. Tuition Assistance decision letters are distributed annually in May. While TADS makes recommendations, the Childswork Tuition Assistance Committee determine final award decisions. Financial Aid is applied evenly across ten months to coincide with tuition payments.

TADS charges $39 to process each application. Childswork is willing to share this cost with any families that decide to apply. Your application fee will be $19.

To access the TADS application, click here. If it is your first time using TADS, please start by creating a new account. No setup code is required. Instead please click the link the in the blue box that says, “click here to apply for Financial Aid.”

Once you are logged in to your TADS account, please select the state, city, and school in the drop-down menu and start your financial aid application for the 2020-2021 school year.
