Enrichment classes are an opportunity for children to spend more time investigating a particular subject. Fall, winter and spring sessions are offered each year; each session is approximately 10 weeks long.
Childswork will offer the following Enrichment Programs throughout the year:
Mondays 1:00 - 3:00pm
Art Studio provides an opportunity for children to explore a variety of art media & techniques through provocations and deeper investigations.
STEM: Science Technology, Engineering, & Math
Tuesdays 1:00 - 3:00pm
In STEM children will have the opportunity to question, observe, discover, invent, predict, measure, design, experiment, create, classify, identify, and understand tools that will reinforce the capability, curiosity, and love children first encounter in their experiences and articulation of math and science.
Wednesdays 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Musical Theater provides students an opportunity to explore music and play-acting through singing, dramatic play, expressive movement and art activities. Students will also be introduced to a variety of instruments, and have the chance to create their own!

Gardening and nature exploration will provide exciting hands on learning about where and how food and plants exist in our environments. Students will have opportunities to look closely and actively engage with nature through a variety of creative mediums in our school gardens and with their very own plants.
Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00pm
Cooking provides an opportunity for students to build a foundation of basic cooking and food
preparation, terms and skills. Students, through hands on curriculum will gain an understanding and appreciation for making snacks and meals.
Yoga for Fun
Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00pm
Yoga for Fun is an opportunity for all people to engage their bodies and minds through the art of storytelling. We will learn 15 different yoga poses and practice applying our kind hearts, kind words and kind thoughts as we move together.
Fridays 1:00 - 3:00pm
The Story Workshop enrichment class is an exciting opportunity for students to use their imaginations to devise skits and plays inspired by children’s literature! We will be reading many stories that will allow the students to imagine and think creatively about the stories, characters, settings, and plot. Through that thinking, we will be able to write a script filled with our own ideas, in order to set the stage and perform! Through this, the students will be able to use their imaginative and critical thinking in order to create a fantastic and fun experience based on our favorite children’s books!
Spanish provides an opportunity for students to build a foundation of basic Spanish language comprehension and speaking, and to build an understanding of cultural diversity within a curriculum that explores various Spanish-speaking cultures.
