Explorers - Before and After Care
Our extended care program is called Explorers. Our work in Explorers is an important part of the partnership we have with families in the early education of their children. We are dedicated to providing an excellent program during each stage of a child's day.
Program goals:
- To support our families by customizing extended care schedules to meet each family’s needs; this includes a drop-in option (depending on space availability).
- To provide consistency for children by having a dedicated lead teacher for our Explorer program and staffing our program with teachers from our regular classrooms.
- To balance the ongoing learning of the whole child with the unique needs of the child in a longer day program , The schedule provides a balance between active learning activities as well as rest and quiet times.
The Explorers program is available from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Before school care is available beginning at 7:30 a.m.. The cost for scheduled Explorers is $6.00 per hour, with a 1/2 hour minimum charge. The cost for drop-in is $7 per hour.
After school care is available until 5:30 p.m.. The cost for scheduled Explorers is $6.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum charge. The cost for drop-in is $7 per hour.
To sign up for Explorers, please fill out and submit an Explorers Registration Form (PDF) to Laurie Jorgensen, the Explorers Director.
