Thank you for your interest in
Childswork Learning Center, Inc. Childswork Learning Center is one
of the leading early education programs in the Portland Metropolitan
area. Childswork began with two preschool classes in 1984.
Childswork has provided
developmentally based early childhood education for hundreds of
families, and has become a necessary and vital part of the
community.
Childswork is a non-profit
school and is certified with the State of Oregon and serves children
ages 2.7 - 6 throughout the greater Portland area. Class sizes are
small, with an average educator to child ratio from 1 - 7 to 1 - 9
(12 to 18 children per classroom). Each class is taught by a
certified classroom teacher and an educational assistant.
Childswork is widely recognized
in the educational community for its ability to prepare children for
higher academic and social achievement. Childswork students have
been consistently acknowledged for their educational and social
skills, their willingness to learn and enjoy learning and for their
citizenship in neighborhoods and society.
