Childswork Learning Center

Executive Director Winter 2017

Happy Winter! It sure is nice to finally see some sunshine and pavement in Portland! We are all happy to settle back into a school routine after winter break and all our snow days!

  • Thank you for your amazing response to our Annual Fund! You support for our school warms our hearts and is such an incredible motivating force for our team. Thank you so much! We will have one more restaurant night and a community event for adults in the spring, so stay tuned!
  • Thank you for your generous contributions to our Mitten Tree. The Kindergarten class used their amazing math skills to count and graph all the donations. The graph is hanging outside of Crystal’s office. We received 48 hats, 43 pairs of gloves, 13 pairs of mittens and one scarf! They were all donated to Mainspring PDX and were especially appreciated with all the cold weather we have been having.
  • We have two Kindergarten Sneak-Peeks planned for current families to come and take a “peek” at our Kindergarten program in action. One opportunity is on Thursday, Jan 26 at 9:30am and the other on Monday, Jan 30th at 9:30am. Space is limited so please sign up in the main office. If you are interested in observing our Kindergarten class but these times do not work for you, you are welcome to join a regularly scheduled tour. Check with Candice in the office for regular tour dates. Speaking of Kindergarten, our Spotlight on Kindergarten night is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 from 5:30—6:30pm. This is a chance to learn more about our Kindergarten program from our teachers. Limited childcare is available with prior reservation in the main office.

See you in the hallways!
