Thank you Depave!
Thank you Depave and its amazing group of volunteers as well as Childswork staff and families for your hard work in removing the asphalt from our playground on Saturday! We got it all done! We are one big step closer to our dream of a natural playscape for children to play in and explore! Thank you to Whole Foods Market for helping feed our hungry crew and Ruby Jewel for donating ice cream sandwiches as a special treat!

Help Us Break Ground for the new Natural Playscape!
Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to come lend a hand as we remove the asphalt on the small playground in preparation for our new natural playscape!!! Our partner, Depave, will provide all the necessary tools and safety gear. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. We’ll be starting at 9am and working until about noon.
Due to the physical nature of asphalt removal, volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and clothing appropriate for tough work. Closed-toe shoes are required to depave – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Please let us know if you will be coming so we can plan accordingly. We hope to see you all there! More information about Depave and their work can be found on their website at www.depave.org.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
Childswork is currently accepting applications for our school-funded scholarship program. For more information on how to apply, please go to the Scholarships section of the website under the Enrollment tab. We also work with the State of Oregon to provide financial aid to families who qualify for Employment Related Day Care (ERDC). Low-income working families may be eligible. See your local DHS office to see if you qualify. You must be enrolled in Childswork first before qualifying for Scholarships or Financial Aid.

Now is the Time to Get Ready for Fall Enrollment!
We are starting enrollment in our Preschool classes and Kindergarten for Fall, 2016! Class offerings include our popular Parent/Child 2's class, a variety of preschool classes for 3-5 year olds and Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten program has a small class size with two teachers. It is a great alternative for families looking for a nurturing environment in a program that meets State Common Core Standards through an emergent, play-based curriculum. Please call for more information or to sign up for a tour at 503-234-3611.
