News & Updates
Summer Camp Registration is here!

2014 Summer Camp information is here! Join us for a great summer of fun and education. Registration Forms can be printed from this link or picked up in the Main Office. Weekly themes, costs, details, and other information is outlined in these forms. Contact Garrett Riggs with any questions at garrett@childswork.org.

One of the benefits of joining us at Childswork for Summer Camp is the amazing teachers we have involved in the program. This can be a chance to get to know your upcoming teacher, spend time with a former teacher, or just get to know someone new. Each week we have four teachers scheduled to lead Camps, and two teachers to lead the afternoon Explorers. Whether you enroll in 2 day, 3 day, or 5 day, your child will interact with all the morning Camp teachers as there will be plenty of opportunity for the groups to play together.

Please register today to make sure you're included in the fun!

Childswork Now Enrolling: 2.7 class spots still available

Childswork Learning Center still has a few openings in our 2.7 classes.

The 2.7 class, for children who turn 3 by December 31st, meets either MWF or TTh from 9-11:30 with a 1:6 ratio.

What a wonderful beginning to your child’s preschool experience! This class for our young learners has a ratio of 6:1 with two teachers. Our play-based philosophy is balanced with introducing children to some of the routines of a typical school day with circle time, choice time, snack time and outdoor time. This class supports the transition from parallel to beginning cooperative play. Self-help skills are taught as the children learn how to become more independent.

Childswork Now Enrolling: Kindergarten spots still available
Childswork Now Enrolling: Kindergarten spots still available

Childswork Learning Center still has a few openings in our Kindergarten Program!

The Kindergarten Program is collaborative, developmentally appropriate, and built on the tenets of teaching to the whole child. We believe that the acquisition of knowledge is active and that children learn best when engaged experientially, working in concert with their peers and conducting independent research.

This is the right place for your child if you are looking for an enriching experience, a chance to promote leadership, a smaller class size and teacher ratio, and an opportunity to strengthen life-long skills associated with inquiry, investigation and community.

Our Kindergarten class includes two amazing and experienced teachers with a maximum 1:10 ratio. Childswork Kindergarten meets M-F from 9am-2:30pm.

For more information about the Kindergarten Program, please visit the Kindergarten pages. Please call 503-234-3611 or email Kim Hill, kim@childswork.org if you are interested in more details.

We are so looking forward to a wonderful evening in support of Childswork. A chance to mix and mingle with friends, drink some excellent wine and beer, bid on amazing items and show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them.

You can find your invitation in your child's communication file. If you need an extra invitation for family or friends please stop by the Main Office.

While you're buying your tickets online, we hope you'll consider contributing to our teacher ticket fund. You can contribute to the teacher ticket fund when you purchase your ticket online or you can drop off funds with Candice in the Main Office.

If you'd like to see some of the fabulous items you'll be bidding on, check out the official auction website. And visit often - items are being added daily!
