Thank you to Childswork staff, families and friends as well as the broader Portland community for a successful auction. Thanks to your support, we will be able to fund our scholarship program and make necessary improvements to our facility. We really appreciate your support!

Parents who are considering Kindergarten in the fall of 2013 are cordially invited to attend our Kindergarten Roundup/Information Night on Tuesday, February 5th from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. You will have a chance to meet the teachers, hear about our program and ask questions! Free childcare is available if you reserve your spot in the main office by January 28th.

When Portland Public Schools in our area have a morning delay, we will automatically open at 9:30am. Doing this will allow our classes to take place in an abbreviated form, and our afternoon programs (Explorers and enrichment classes) to take place in their entirety.

If Portland Public Schools are closed, we will either be open at 9:30 or be closed. We will make our determination regarding school closure based on safety and accessibility for families and staff. We will post our decision on our web page (www.childswork.org), local TV and radio.

We will be offering a special information session for Childswork families who are contemplating moving on to the Portland Public School system next fall for kindergarten or first grade. Nancy Hauth, Program Manager for Kindergarten Support for PPS, will be giving a presentation at Childswork on Tuesday, January 22nd from 5:30-7:00pm. This is an adults only event.

Did your child miss out on Photo Day last month?

Tuesday, January 8th will be Make-Up Photo Day! Order forms are available in the Main Office. You must bring a completed order form & payment with you on the day of make-ups.
